Peer Review I – BCM302

Peer Review I

For BCM302 Peer Review I, I provided a diverse range of constructive feedback on two of my peer’s Digital Artefact Pitches.

Aysha is planning on creating a weekly podcast series, “The Catch Up” with her mum that speaks about events from around the world in the past week including, news events, pop culture and random topics that she finds interesting. With being a nerd in regard to podcasts and quite lazy when it comes to researching about the news I was extremely keen to not only follow Ayshas digital artefact trajectory throughout the semester but to listen to the podcast as well.

I believe my feedback given in my comment was useful as I recognised the successful potential of her podcast idea, but was also able to pinpoint certain ideas she could develop in order to fulfil the potential of the podcast. Such as creating two shorter podcasts a week to identify a clearer target by focusing on different topics in the respective podcasts. Furthermore, I included a link to a podcast, ‘All Aussie Mystery Hour’ and commented on the banter and sh*t talking the two females do prior to starting the podcast. I believe Ayshas will have a similar intriguing and overall welcoming vibe due to the personal and understanding relationship she has with her mum.

(Aysha and her mum – bless)

If you haven’t listened to it yet, do yourselves a favour and do!

For Georgies digital artefact she is intending to continue her TikTok account that she created in BCM325, where she focused on the future of short form video content creation.  Although now, is focusing in more on creating a larger audience through the use of popular hashtags and posting her feedback loop findings to twitter as shown through a few tweets I have noticed.

Georgies pitch was extremely informative and succinct whilst staying in the time frame of two minutes. Thus, the only aspect of Georgies pitch I could provide constructive commentary on was providing the required feedback to help her overall feedback processes. I highlighted how Georgie is heading in the right direction and utilising all aspects of whats required. My feedback commented on how up to date she is required to be in regard to posting videos with trending themes and hashtags. I also provided a link to an article about  how TikTok is rewriting the world and asking some thought provoking questions in regard to how TikTok will continue to develop within its self to become seemingly larger and more popular.

Overall, Georgie provided a great pitch, my only commentary in regard to the pitches improvement could be a bit more friendly to the camera. There is a lot of confidence and comfortability in front of a camera on TikTok, and transferring that to her pitch/beta videos could be an interesting way to capture her as an individual but the digital artefact as well.
